AMICA Technical Session - Fan System Duo-Arts
By Bruce Grimes

Hello, I too am presenting a technical session at the Chicago AMICA
convention [July 25-30] and, like Bob Taylor and Spencer Chase, I am
sure about most of what I will be discussing. But I am following their
lead in asking MMD readers for help with something I really want to
add.

I will be bringing about five different examples of the Duo-Art fan
system, along with the history which I have been able to dig up so far.
It will be a hands on, look-see-feel-puzzle together session.

As yet I have not seen one of the ones that was installed in the
_above-keyboard_ drawer, even though examples of this one seem to be
the earliest. (So far all of the photos show these as having only leaf
springs.)

If there is anyone, whether or not you are coming to my workshop, who
can bring an example of the leaf-springs-only fan-system expression box,
spill and relays that operate the spill, _please,_ I/we'd love to see
it and look inside.

Also if there is anyone with original factory literature about these,
particularly a service manual, please, please, I'd do almost anything
to see and or copy.

Bruce Grimes
