At the beginning of August, the Musical Box Society of Great Britain
will publish its latest book, "The Nicole Factor in Mechanical Music".
The book covers the entire history of Geneva and St. Croix in terms of
the Nicole family and also the early British phonograph and gramophone
scene.
This is not a commercial publication, but is produced by MBSGB members
who give their services free. Our technical editor is Anthony Bulleid,
world reknowned for his research.
Our limited edition of 500 is available to any sister society member
or enthusiast in mechanical music. It is a high quality stitched,
hard-cover book, 12 x 8 inches, with two CDs, one with over an hour of
Nicole cylinder box music plus two rare Nicole records, the other with
the Nicole register and old catalogue illustrations. Over 240 pages,
440 illustrations, 130 in colour.
The discount price to be held for the first few months of sales is UK
