Dear MMD, I have been asked by a collector friend if I can find
anyone who might be interested in a quantity of about 25 paper music
rolls that were made by John G. Murdoch & Co. for their "Phoneon" brand
of player organs which were marketed in the United Kingdom around
1900-1915.
They are unusual that they utilise a 61-note scale and, as far as
I know, will only fit player organs made by that company. Apparently
these rolls are quite hard to find and relatively unusual. If there is
any interest, I have a list of the titles (which are mainly classical
music) that I can send to anyone by email.
The seller also has a similar quantity of 58-note Wilcox and White
player organ rolls, of which I also have a title list. Please contact
me in the first instance by email at <phonopaul@aol.com>.
Regards,
Paul Baker
