There is still time if you wish to attend this great event in St.
Joseph, Missouri. Contact me and I will send out the registration
forms.
About 10 to 15 large organs will be present and many smaller items,
from music boxes, roller organs, monkey organs, etc., will also be
shown. Everyone complains that the interest is waning in this hobby;
well, attend this event and find out how to generate interest in your
community!
At 10 A.M. on July 15 the mayor of our city is going to light the fuse
on a real Civil War cannon. After the bang, the air will be filled
with music from band organs, etc. Old cars, artists, craftspeople, and
the area's twelve museums will all be here, and even a film crew which
will film you "live" in black and white and drop you into a vintage
silent film! See the Pony Express Headquarters, Jesse James Home and
the Patee House Hotel (1858) and many other attractions.
When the rally closes at 5 PM we will then have super at an old mansion
built in 1891. Following will be a live stage play of the Music Man
performed in a magnificently restored Movie Palace. Sunday morning
brunch will be in another 1877 mansion with an all you can eat gourmet
meal. Tours of collections will follow. The price is -- not $290 --
but only, would you believe, $35 for everything! Thousands of local
area people are planning on attending. How about _you?_
The rally is only 35 miles north of Kansas City, smack dab in the
middle of the USA, a short flight from anywhere. Set in the forested
hills next to the Missouri River, St. Joseph is one of the great
architectural gems in America. Step back in time, come join us,
"Come Home to Old St. Joseph."
