Leather Pouches for Universal Player Piano
By Arthur Marino

I just did a pouch job on a Universal player. I ordered a new set of
pouches from QRS [Story & Clark] which is the parent company for the
pneumatic players.

A set I got a few years ago was the plastic pouches like the originals.
The new set I just got was the pouch rings glued onto tan pouch leather.
They were supposed to be sealed, but weren't; had to do that myself.
I used rubber cement, a.k.a. Pliobond. Sealed up nicely. Pouches are
a hundred and something to buy.

What I will do for the next one is to take the pouch rings that I have
from this one and glue on tan pouch leather and press them back in the
holes, after sealing them, of course. A lot cheaper!
