Hi, I am wondering if you can help me out. About seven years ago
I was at a steam implement show in Ohio with my fiancée. We were taken
by a man who was running a very new automated calliope. It was just
a small pipe organ, with no other instrumentation, that was controlled
by a piano roll. He was running off of compressed air, not steam.
The sound was wonderful and gave a real cartoon effect to the show.
I could go on as I usually do when recanting this story but I am sure
you know by now what I am describing.
We are now planning a very simple and informal wedding at our house
and were wondering if there is someone we could hire to operate such
a wonderful machine for an evening for us. I do not know what this
would cost or if it is even possible. Could you refer anyone in the
northern Illinois area (Rockford)? We are looking at June 24th of
this year.
Thank you,
Eric Goepfert
