Dear Friends, Those of you involved with the acquisition process
of a PowerRoll manufactured by Larry Broadmoore and were fortunate
to obtain this unit, will either enjoy using it or are having
'difficulties' with it. I have an operational unit that has been
going strong for more than three years now and, short of an occasional
dirt problem, has been doing what I expected it to do. I use it solely
with my Heintzman upright for 88-note MIDI files and especially those
transcribed by Terry Smythe.
However, the time may come that I can reasonably expect some failures
and for that reason I would be interested acquiring another unit for
replacement parts, complete or partial, working or not. Should you
be 'sitting on one' and are willing to part with it, please contact me
by e-mail at <adeboer@hawaiiantel.net>.
I installed a Gerety/Chase e-valve system in my 'parlor' grand
Chickering with Ampico A which I operate almost daily using a Dell
laptop. The computer and battery charger as well as the two power
supplies for the e-roll system are installed in a specially designed
oversized bench. All major switches to turn on piano, laptop and
e-valve system are in this bench and are hidden from view when not
in use. Now I have to find a major leak in my Heintzman. I am told
those are easier to find than the small leaks. Finding the leak is
one thing, getting rid of it is another.
May I hear from you regarding the PowerRoll.
Albert de Boer
