Hi, I am restoring an organ clock made in Germany by Damian Dufner
in about 1841. The organ has several of the larger pipes missing.
I can replace them but I need to see some examples of how this maker
folded the longer pipes. Also, the automata are missing so I need
some examples of them too.
If you have an organ clock by Dufner or by Duffner, please contact me.
Although this clock organ was made by Damian Dufner, he worked with his
brother, Sigmund, and father, Anton, so they should all be similar.
I have several books in the subject but I would like to see a copy of
"Flötenuhren Aus Dem Schwarzwald" by Holzhey, Günther. If someone in
the USA has a copy, I'd really like to borrow it to see if there is
anything in there to help. I found a copy in Europe but the time and
cost of shipping is rather long/high.
While I'm at it, does anyone know of a place within the USA where I can
get a copy of Dr. Herbert Juettemann's recent book on crank organs with
moving figures:
Figuren-Drehorgeln von Ignaz Bruder und seinen Nachkommen
ISBN 3-7806-7240-5
Thanks
