Hi, Responding to Vic Searle's post on 27.03.2006 (and indirectly to
Tom Grace's post on 25.03.2006), I recently wrote an article in the
Mechanical Organ Owners' Society magazine, 'Vox Humana', about my trip
to see and hear an Imhof and Muckle Orchestrion at Kinloch Castle on
the Isle of Rum. The CD has 'Down South' on part of track 2:
'Unique Sounds of the Orchestrion' from Kinloch Castle, Isle of Rum
In CD or cassette form with informative sleeve notes
1 Description of the Orchestrion 3.44
2 Sourne de Avril, Monte Cristo, Salut d'Amour, Down South 9.41
3 Selection: The Belle of New York 10.05
4 The Honeysuckle and the Bee, Ma Blushin Rosie 3.55
5 Overture: The Bohemian Girl 7.36
6 Selection: La Boheme 9.41
7 French Waltzes: Rose Bleue, Amoureuse 9.42
8 Variations on: Home Sweet Home 4.27
9 Washington Post, Liberty Bell 3.55
10 Selection: Madame Butterfly 8.54
Hope this helps and I may be able to provide the CD or contact details
for it or the Mechanical Organ Owners' Society if required.
Regards
Mark Jefford
