Dear sirs, I found your web site in my search for music. In reply to
your call to get information about mechanical music, I would like to
inform you that I have a recording of a Weber Maesto orchestrion,
recorded about 35 years ago.
Also I am very fond of mechanical music and I made it my hobby to build
hand-driven organs as made by Perlee in Amsterdam (25 keys). In my life
I have built about twelve of these organs and they all are still
functioning. One organ, a replica 36-key Limonaire of which I am very
proud, was bought by a museum in St. Truijden, Belgium. I am building
my last organ now, I think, for I am 74 years old.
I am still a fan of the music and I would like to know if there are
more records or CDs of the Maesto Weber orchestrion. Would you kindly
inform me if there are more LP records and CDs and what are the prices,
for I live from my pension and therefore I have not much money to
spend.
I am a member of the KDV club in Holland (KDV stands for Kring van
Draaiorgelvrienden that means as much as Friends of Organs). I am
looking forward to hear from you.
Yours truly,
P.W.M. de Kort (Piet)
