Wurlitzer "Autograph" & Welte Rolls Comparison
By Spencer Chase

Greetings, I have received a few suggestions as to the scale and
coding of the Wurlitzer Autograph rolls that I have scanned but nothing
really fits the rolls that I have. They seem to be Welte coded with a
minor change regarding the sustain pedal.

The best way I can think of to try to resolve the scale and coding
would be to compare at least a couple of the rolls to the same numbered
and titled Welte T-100 or Licensee rolls. (The numbers and titles
on these Wurlitzer rolls agree with the Welte numbers and titles.)
I will also be able to determine the tempo by comparing hole spacing.

If anyone has any of the following roll numbers in either T100,
Licensee or electronic formats, I would be interested borrowing the
rolls or files so I can make some comparisons. These are all Welte
numbers which match the titles on the leaders.

   189, 225, 269, 296, 300, 365, 569, 797, 1033, 1203, 1226, 1259,
  1260, 1467, 1803, 2431, 2556, 3031, 3091, 3503, 3515, 3521, 3581,
  3617, 3618, 3619, 3621, 3633, 3644, 3687, 3709, 3711, 3713, 3717,
  3722, 3736, 3737, 3738, 3777, 3778, 3833, 3834, 3836, 3838, 3839

Best regards,

[ Spencer, you wrote in 060227 MMDigest that the rolls are perforated
[ at 9 holes to the inch, with long chains of perforations. Despite
[ the "Autograph" label, might they have been perforated by Wurlitzer
[ for instruments that played the Welte-Mignon T-98 "Green" rolls
[ (which resemble Licensee rolls without lock-and-cancel)?
