Dear MMDers, My father-in-law, Bill Wiseman, passed away 11 years ago.
His wife, Jean, passed on Jan 14th after a brief illness. Bill and
Jean both collected for many years with varied interests. Their huge
estate sale will be this coming Friday, February 24th, 9 AM - 5 PM and
Saturday, February 25th, 9 AM - 5 PM at their former residence at 4613
Creekbend Dr., Houston, Texas, not far from Meyerland Center in SW
Houston.
Featured at this sale will be Bill's Ragtime Model H Player Piano
Orchestrion with one Type O roll; a Bilhorn Telescope Organ harmonium
in perfect condition (patent date 1901); his large collection of early
phonographs, cylinder, 3-minute discs and 78 rpm records; his collection
of steropticans and old stereo slides, early 'magic lanterns', glass
slides, and early silent film projectors including 8, 16, and 35 mm,
as well as some early films, including Lillian Gish, Snub Pollard, and
Wm. S. Hart; and very early Edison Dictaphones using wax cylinders.
The contents of his workshop are also available, including many
reproducers, horns, cranks, and tone arms for early phonographs. There
are also his stamp collections, Victorian postcards, pocket watches,
clocks, antique linens, dolls, china, silver, cut glass and furniture.
