Hi All, I've just finished uploading two MP3 files for your listening
enjoyment. They are at:

I procured these recordings from Al Levy at Red Hot Jazz.com in an
effort to help an elderly woman in New York. While she has the sheet
music of Hazel Scott's "Hazel's Boogie Woogie", she says the sheet
music isn't the same as the live recordings. The woman also owns
a player piano and asked me if it would be possible to make a player
piano music roll of the live performance. Naturally, I said it was
possible, but that such a project would likely be a bit expensive.
After hearing the song, I thought that it might be worthwhile to make
the song available in a limited edition roll. Problem is, I don't have
the ability to create the necessary MIDI (or other) file that would be
needed to get the roll cut. Ergo, I'm soliciting the group to find out
if anyone would be interested in the challenge.
In closing, if anyone knows if this song was ever produced as a music
roll, I would dearly love to hear about it.
Musically,
John A Tuttle
