On the one we had -- though you could remove the cheeks (I believe you
can do this on most Stecks, but Webers had the cheeks glued on as well
as screwed) and withdraw the key bed -- the connecting rods from stack
to action passed through a wood rail, the screws of which attached it
to the back of the key bed and could only be reached after the bed was
removed, by which time one would have wrecked the connecting rods!
Obviously a slightly different model.
