It's hard to pick just one favorite nickelodeon; luckily, at our museum
we have a few nice examples. I love our Cremona "A" roll but I've
heard a Cremona "J" and loved the extra instruments. We have a nice
Link RX, with pipes, but doesn't dance like the Cremona. Also daily
hear our Seeburg "KT" -- lots of fun that one is.
We have a Western Electric Mascot to restore; I heard it for years,
falling apart in a local ice cream store before it was donated. A
simple "A" roll machine but always got the attention of the room.
Heard four different Seeburg "H" instruments; wouldn't turn one down if
we ever had a chance to get one for a good price, but my favorite that
I wish we could procure would have to be the ever popular Seeburg "G".
And that doesn't get into the European instruments. But give me a great
American nickelodeon first ;-)
