Blower for Small Pipe Organ
By Dale Gunnar

I have purchased several old-style 120-volt tank-type vacuum cleaners
at auction for $10.00 or so and used the motor/fan unit from these to
blow harmoniums and home built player accordions. Used with a small
step-down autotransformer at 50 volts or less, they ran quietly.

At 25 or 30 volts they produced plenty of wind to blow the reeds, above
30 volts the air might began to spill through the pallets, so I expect
they produced enough wind to blow small low pressure pipes at a low
cost, but I did not measure the actual pressure.
