I have had a project lined up for several years to do 8/inch rolls,
including North Tonawanda Pianolin music rolls. It is waiting for
Play-Rite to set up a perforator for this spacing, and they are way
behind. I have a list of collectors needing this roll, including
myself for my Pianolin.
I have about 20 very good rolls of a nice variety already set aside
and ready to send in for recutting, and I intend to borrow others to
make up two sets of 12 different rolls each. There will be enough sets
recut for all who want them. I don't know when Play-Rite will actually
get to set up for the 8/inch rolls, but I am confident they will get
to it someday soon. Meanwhile, I am considering other alternatives
to have these rolls recut at a reasonable price. Right now, there are
no production perforators set up that I know of to do this spacing.
That is the problem, not lack of desire or demand for these rolls.
If anyone reading this has not contacted me in the past for these
rolls, please email me now and I will let you know when ready to start
the project.
