Hello MMDers. I'm trying to find rolls, in any format, made with
the music from the opera "Hansel und Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck.
I mean the _real_ E. H., not the imposter who's singing became popular
some years ago. ";-)
While Herr Humperdinck was neither as prolific nor as popular as others
of his era, his life and work encompassed the player instrument era (he
lived 1854-1921), and I find it difficult to understand why his work
wasn't more prominent. The works of Wagner are widely represented, and
Humperdinck was contemporary with Wagner, although neither his music
nor his subject matter were on the same scale. Anyway, does anyone
know _anything_ about his music on rolls?

[ Welte-Mignon in 1916 published three rolls performed by Humperdinck:

[ 646 Traumscene from "Hänsel und Gretel"
[ 647 Menuett from "Die Heirat Wider Willen"
[ 650 Rosenringel from "Die Königskinder"
