On a trip to a very rural area of California (Santa Margarita) we
came across an interesting antique store. I mentioned to the owner
that I was looking for piano rolls. He said he thought he had one,
and finally found it. The torn label:

The roll is in fairly good condition, and might be 6-to-the-inch,
on a 3.5-inch core. It's fun to rescue a roll that would otherwise
molder away.
The store had all sorts of interesting things: two very old static
electricity generators, a Rockola juke box housed in a factory-original
mahogany desk-sized case, lenses, etc.
