I saw a note from John Nolte dating back to 2003 suggesting the use
of Versene for cleaning metal pipes. I have not been able to find
a suitable source of supply. Does anyone know of one?
My problem is the minimum order quantity. Most of the sources offer
five-gallon buckets, or 50-pound sacks, or 1200 pounds, none of which
which are practical for a small application.
I have found a source for disodium EDTA in small quantities, which
I will try. Tetrasodium EDTA is supposedly better for metal cleaning,
but I can't find it in small quantities.
