Tilting a Vertical Piano to Replace the Casters
By Gary Rasmussen

Hi Ted, Tip the piano on its end. Put down carpet, pad or whatever
to protect the case, and put the side board on the floor.

Note: After dabbling with pianos for 35+ years, I finally broke down
and bought a tilter from Schaff a year or so ago. I have only used it
a few times but it has really been worth having.
