Since AMICA has an on-going relationship with the collection in
Virginia City, Montana, and has agreed to restore the many mechanical
musical wonders to playing condition, could copying these roll masters
be made part of this "Adopt a Piano" project?

 [ The rolls might be simply be Nth-generation copies, like the
 [ Welte-Mignon "master rolls" existent today.  A portion of the
 [ rolls in the Bovey collection were copied by Ozzie Wurdeman and
 [ some of his customers felt that they sounded erratic.  Maybe
 [ George Karpel can tell us more about this.  Anyway, a project
 [ to preserve the B.A.B. organ musical arrangements should include
 [ a review of the music quality (play the rolls on a compatible
 [ organ) and should anticipate that some editing may be needed
 [ to restore what the arranger originally intended.  -- Robbie
