Danny Teal asks about plans for an as yet unknown Player Piano.
I suspect it will be difficult to find plans, as such, but good sources
of useful information are www.player-care.com, Art Reblitz's book on
restoring players, and several other books on players, the latest being
that published last year by Arthur Ord-Hume. I suspect Kevin McElhone
can help with the latter. A good look at the case and workings might
reveal a name to help identify the instrument.
The other thing Danny should do is get in touch with the UK Player
Piano Group -- http://www.playerpianogroup.org.uk/ -- to see if there
is a member who lives nearby. (Where in UK do you live, Danny?) If
all the parts are there, someone with the basic knowledge of players can
probably explain how it all goes together, and possibly how to restore
the parts which need it.
Good luck,
