Source of Hide Glue, Fish Glue & Shellac
By Glen R. Perye Jr.
The Lee Valley/Veritas fine wood working tools 2005/2006 catalog came
today. It covers everything and then some for anybody who works in wood.
It also has a complete repro hardware catalog too.

They have two types of shellac and very good info as what to do, which
to use, and what to mix with them. In the adhesive section they have
a nice chart of what type glue does what, and more than you want to
know about characteristics and applications. Scan it and enlarge it
for the shop -- it is a keeper.
They have two types of hide glue and a high tack fish glue, already
mixed and in bottles from 15 ml (0.5 fl. oz.) to 34 oz. The web site
is great and they have secure ordering. I have used them for years and
have never been disappointed in what they say about what they sell.
