Running Cakewalk Pro 6.0 Under Windows XP
By J. B. Roth
Hello All. I've been using Cakewalk Pro 6.0 [in my Windows 98 SE]
and I love it's simplicity. I write and edit music and piano rolls
in the piano roll mode all the time.
However, now I've upgraded to Windows XP and I was afraid of installing
the Cakewalk program into XP, so I called Cakewalk to ask them. The
tech told me that XP would not support that program and sold me Sonar
Home Studio 4.0, which I just installed today and already don't like.
It's lost its simplicity and I can't figure out how to maximise the
piano roll screen.
So, I'm wondering if anyone there has been able to install Cakewalk Pro
6.0 into XP without any problems. I'd much rather go back to good ol'
Cakewalk. I might have to get a second hard drive and install Windows
98SE, just so that I can have my CAKE-walk and enjoy it too!
Regards,
Ben Roth
