Lauter-Humana Roll Tracking System
By Skip Downing

Dear MMDers, I know there are a few Lauter-Humana players out
there that are in working order, and am looking for some information.

I understand some models had two tracker pneumatic units, and some
only one. The instrument in my shop has evidence that it had two,
but it came with only one. Are two units mandatory on some models?
And what is the purpose of two pneumatic units in the tracker system?

Also, under the top stack board, just below the tracker pneumatic,
is a valve unit which apparently is a valve block that connects into
the tracker line. Just to its left is what appears to be a filter
block for the tracker line, as it has two incoming elbows, two outgoing
elbows, and cheesecloth filters glued inside the block. Can anyone
enlighten me as to where all these units tube up?

This piano wouldn't be nearly such a challenge if it had been intact
when it arrived, but it was in boxes, most of them not labeled.
It also wasn't complete. Any light anyone can shed would be greatly
appreciated.

Sincerely,
Skip Downing
