Solo-Art Piano
By Al Crise

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I'm looking for information on a piano that was given to me by my
mother. The label on the front says "Solo-Art, Pittsburgh, Cleveland,
St. Louis."

I've searched the web for this company but have found nothing. I
believe this was a player piano; however, all the automated parts were
stripped from it when my dad purchased it in the 1960's.

I'm interested in restoring it and am hoping someone can provide some
details about this piano.

[ Information by Rob Deland on John Tuttle's Player-Care website
[ suggests that the Solo-Art system was an 88-note player system
[ with an added 50+ notes in a solo section. Not many such may
  [ have been made.
