I don't think this is necessarily the case! I have rabid interest
whether the price is high or low. I usually however cannot afford them.
But many people do not look upon the instruments as an investment. And
many of us are not dealers, so our livelihoods do not depend on high
prices. Many of us still look at them as pure FUN.
Personally, I wish your supposition _were_ correct, because when there
gets to be no interest in them, then I can afford them!!
