Sting Suction Box
By Philip Jamison

The "Sting" player piano suction boxes by Aeolian used a cast metal
cover and a valve to control the suction. This valve often sticks, and
can be fixed by shooting in a little dry Teflon. A sticking valve can
cause the pump to overheat and fail on electric play.
