Missing Part Of QRS Roll "Voices Of Spring"
By Niels Berkers

I am currently restoring a roll I have which has a missing part.
Probably the roll tore at some time, and the previous owner cut out the
torn section and joined the two halves using a piece of warped
cardboard. (I wonder how he was going to make that work?)

I am trying to find out what piece was cut out, in order to put it back
in. There's loads of unused paper on the end of the roll; so that's no
problem. I'll use that, so that the paper matches.

I tried to find a similar section of music elsewhere on the roll, but
can't find one. So I am hoping somebody can provide me with a MIDI file
of the music roll, so I can know what part belongs there. It would be a
great help.

The roll is QRS roll no. 41528, 88-note, Voices of Spring (Voci di
primavera), Johann Strauss, Op. 410, key of A-flat.

A MIDI file of a roll from another company would work, I guess. But I'd
rather make my restoration faithful to the original QRS arrangement.

Thanks already,
Niels Berkers
