Dear MMDians,
I am happy to report that Ms. Jeanne Malone of Play-Rite is truly on her
way to a wonderful recovery.
I have just returned from Turlock, Calif., after having had a wonderful
lamb dinner (you better believe she loves lamb!), witnessing the Malone
Wurlitzer 165 organ playing its best (perfect tuning), and viewing a
series of old reel-to-reel movies. Her son John has the biggest movie
collection I've ever seen!
Pictures from the visit will soon follow. For now I can tell you that
Jeanne is still considerably weak, but today she managed to traverse that
much-too-grand staircase in her home, the castle, thrice. And that's
exercise enough for me, let me tell ya!
Ms. Malone has asked me for a second time to thank the many members of
the MBSI and AMICA for their awards. It means a lot to her that the
tediousness of her occupation draws such appreciation and respect.
I'll be visiting with Jeanne again on Saturday, when we will both go to
church in the morning to receive the Word. And afterwards I will stay
with her at the castle while my recording equipment runs and captures
the beautiful sounds of the Wurlitzer 165 yet again.
That's right -- assuming this heap of electronics still works and all
the fuses are good, new CDs of Play-Rite's Wurlitzer 165 will soon be
released. Get ready!
More reports to follow.
Warmest regards,
Marc Elbasani
