Mechanical Music Auction in Boston 3-4 May 2005

Dear MMD,  The web catalogue with images for this auction is now
available to view on the internet at www.skinnerinc.com.  This two-day
sale of Science & Technology features a large selection of mechanical
music and automata from several collections, including Welte Briscovia,
Phillips and Weber Unika orchestrions from the collection of James
Brady.  Also included are overture cylinder boxes, rare-format disc
boxes, phonographs, coin-op. and automata.

Preview times are Sunday, 1 May, 12-5 P.M.; Monday, 2 May, 12-7 P.M.;
and Tuesday, 3 May, 8-9:30 A.M.  The second day, Wednesday, 4 May,
features scientific instruments, including cameras and optical toys,
an Edison Pen and other Edison ephemera, and an important collection of
early American surveying instruments. The sale takes place at Skinner's
Bolton Gallery (exit 27 off 495), Route 117, 357 Main St., Bolton, MA
01740.
