Hi there folks, I need a little help. I'm in the Army here in Arizona
and I'm shipping my Regina music box from a residence in Illinois to
my home in Arizona. It's the type that stores and plays ten or twelve
metal discs of 22 inches in diameter and it's been in my family since
the 1890's when it was a "jukebox" in my Great Uncle's pharmacy in
Walnut, Illinois.
However, I'm not exactly sure what precautions to take for shipping.
The movers will wrap it in bubble wrap and crate it, of course, but
I'm most concerned about the insides. I realize I should remove the
discs for travel, but what do I do with the insides?
Are there things that need to be secured so they don't slide around?
Will filling the inside with foam worms or padding be sufficient?
I'd appreciate any advice you can offer. I'm flying out to Illinois
on the 21st to pack it on the 22nd of April. Hope to hear from you
soon.
Thanks very much.
