Amateur Organ Builders Weekend 28-30 May 2005
By Bob Essex

This year's AOB Weekend, hosted by Peter and Rosemarie Hood, otherwise
known as rollcutter.com, is to be held at their extensive site near
Ramsgate, Kent, England, over the weekend of 28th to 30th of May 2005.

Those who attended the meeting last year will not need to be told of
the superb quality of the event. Whilst it is mainly for amateurs it
is not in any way amateurish. Peter and Rosemarie have their own high
standards of professional hosting in both catering and accommodation.
Seminars and presentations, talks and demonstrations, on various
subjects of organ building will be held on the Saturday and Sunday,
in the marquee.

This is the chance for all like-minded amateur organ builders to meet
and exchange ideas. Entertainment is planned for the Saturday evening.
There is provision for camping and caravanning, together with space to
erect your awning or gazebo to demonstrate your own organs throughout
the event. B&B accommodation is available nearby for those who require
it. On Monday, the Bank Holiday, all organ grinders are invited to don
Victorian costume, when the area is opened to the public to come and
join in the fun.

Details, together with a booking form, are available on www.rollcutter.com
All organ folk are most welcome. Overseas visitors will be especially
welcomed. The venue is only 30 minutes from the Dover Ferry Terminal
and the Channel Tunnel Terminal. Looking forward to meeting you there!

Bob Essex, on behalf of Peter and Rosemarie Hood
