I'm sending this from Sydney, Australia, where I'm spending a few days
with family before returning to New Zealand. I just want to express my
thanks to the Melbourne collectors who made me welcome at their gathering
during the Easter weekend. A nice, not-too-formal get-together,
visiting major collections, getting acquainted with new contacts and
enjoying music and talk. Thanks, folks.
Incidentally, yesterday here in Sydney I met with Mark Williamson (see
his posting about acid in yesterday's MMD) and we visited the working
museum that is the Mastertouch Roll Co. I gather that there are some
potential clouds over the future of the operation. It would be sad
indeed if Mastertouch were to cease production.
