Metal Valve Plates Sealed with PVC-E Glue
By Charles Schubert

I have been in the player business for over 40 years and have run
into this only once before. I looked at a Hardman console player the
other day and some hacker used Sobo or PVC-E glue to seal the metal
valve plates. I tried to pry one off and proceeded to bend the heck
out of it. I told the customer that if I couldn't find a way to get
the plates off I wouldn't do the job.

Has anybody out there even run into this before and if so, is there
an easy way to get the plates off? I believe the hacker must be
a local guy because the other one was in my area also. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
