Roll-Playing Electronic Player Organs
By Harold Whipps Sr.

Kimball made two models that played paper rolls that were arranged and
cut for their organs. They were the Model 500 series and 1200 series.
There was a Model 500 on eBay a month or two ago. I have one, a 500,
and about 60 rolls. The organ is not worth rebuilding, so I plan on
using the player in an organ I started years ago using Devtronix
electronics.

The only Thomas and Gulbransen players I know of used cassettes, not
paper rolls. I worked for a dealer repairing the Kimball, Gulbransen
and the occasional Thomas. That was back in the 1960's and 70's.
I hope this helps Kermit.

I'm always looking for rolls.
