Turbine Pump Lubrication & Bearings
By Spencer Chase

Greetings, I believe that the best lubrication for a turbine pump
is to replace the bearings with modern high speed seal bearings. They
are probably not in great shape if original, as few owners probably
bothered to take the pump apart and lubricate it on a regular basis.

Get the best bearings you can get. You may have to have the end plates
machined to fit a standard bearing but the shafts will fit. Do not use
ceramic bearings, as inviting as this sounds. I tried it and $100 worth
of bearings failed very quickly.

Best regards,
