Hi, I'm Roberto Vanelli Vega from Puebla, Mexico. I write you to
learn if you can help me with information about a Seybold Acordeon
equipped with a roll mechanism.
Yesterday I finished the restoration, and this amazing accordion
plays music just like a pianola, but with rolls of thirty nine holes;
it's very small. All the mechanism and the roll is operated by
a clockworks, then you play the air in the normal way of the accordion
and with a foot-pedal device.
This piece came from Alsace, France, carried over by the owners.
Thanks a lot,
Roberto Vanelli

[ The "Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical Instruments", by Q. David
[ Bowers, has brief mentions of Seybold and Hohner. On page 742:
[ "Many different varieties of pneumatically-operated (by perforated
[ paper rolls) accordions were produced by the German firms of Seybold
[ (in Strassburg-Meinau) and Hohner (in Trossingen)." On page 775:
[ "Several varieties of foot-pumped roll-operated accordions were
[ also made."
