Hello Mister Kravitz, my name is Daniel Pacheco, I'm from Chile and
I've been looking for information about a Ducommun-Girod cylinder
musical box.  This item, which came to my brother as result of a
relative's last will, has been lately the most interesting contraption
I have ever seen.  Hopeing you could give me some information is why
I send you this e-mail, hopefully not disturbing your time.

For what I know, it was brought from Germany by my great-grandparents
and it is very similar to the one in the photo but with a crystal lid
covering the bronze cylinder, and longer in size.

It's number is 27845, it's cylinder key is marked as AM 17 and the
cylinder as 757.  Hope this information to be useful.
