Instrument Moving Firm
By Randolph Herr
Carl Zwanzig asked about instrument movers. I have had good experience
with Plycon Movers. They can crate or just blanket wrap objects. They
have never damaged anything in the six times I have used them. Their

[ There are many MMD articles about instrument movers, indexed
[ at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Archives/KWIC/M/movers.html and
[ http://mmd.foxtail.com/Archives/KWIC/M/moving.html
[ See also the collection of "Piano Moving Horror Stories" indexed
[ at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Archives/KWIC/H/horror.html
[
[ As expressed in those articles, collectors of costly and irreplaceable
[ instruments seem to agree that it is safest to hire a specialist with
[ a proven good reputation. Otherwise any mover could be hired who
[ carries adequate insurance against theft and damage and liability
[ on the _entire_ load of cargo. Not many moving firms do. -- Robbie
