Wurlitzer 5-Tune Pianino Rolls - Missing Titles
By Jack M. Conway

Hi Group, I have just finished cataloging my 5-tune Pianino rolls.
I have five rolls missing titles and/or roll numbers, and I have made
a tape recording of those rolls. I wondered if anyone would be willing
to help identify them as some of you did with the tape of my Wurlitzer
APP rolls that were missing titles. If you would be willing to help
identify the tunes I will send a copy of the tape and a list of what
tunes I think I have.

I have discovered that different people recutting or arranging Pianino
rolls used the same roll numbers with different titles. I have a list
of Ray Siou/Play-Rite recuts and Paul Gottschalk's recuts and the tunes
on some of these rolls don't match up with my rolls.

I also wonder if some of you could help me identify who recut rolls
before the Siou/Play-Rite recuts. I have a couple of rolls that were
cut on Dow Jones stock ticker tape. I have a couple of rolls on dry
wax paper that have the black tape with "D" ring roll tabs that have
been stapled to the roll to assure that they do not come unglued.
I wonder if these were cut by Mike Kitner?

I have one roll that starts with "Jingle Bells" then switches to
children's tunes. It is cut on tan paper similar to Wurlitzer tan
paper. It is very cleanly cut, possibly by a Leabarjan punch. It has
no Wurlitzer indications. The tune numbers are written with red pencil
and circled before each tune, instead of the Wurlitzer stamp "Next On
Program No. 2." I also have a couple cut on off-white dry wax paper,
not as white as Ray Siou's recuts.

Thanks for your time.
