Repairing Cracks in Piano Barrel
By Todd Augsburger

I'm in the process of repairing a barrel piano in which the barrel has
some small cracks. They are not bad, but I'd like to fill the cracks
and replace a few pins which are loose. I've never done this before,
so have a couple of questions:

1. What have others successfully used to fill barrel cracks? An epoxy
filler?

2. I need to replace some missing pins. The original pins were
rectangular stock. Is there any replacement wire or square stock
available in small quantities?

Thanks,
