Erratic Repetition in Ampico A
By Eliyahu Shahar

Hi, I read the spot about the erratic repetition in your Ampico A
[041221 MMDigest] and was wondering why you replaced only the
secondary valve. I would guess that the primary valve could have
an equal chance of being bad. Try swapping a couple of notes on the
primary valves and see if that solves the problem on that individual
note or not.

If the primary is bad you can take apart the primary chest or you can
switch the lowest note or highest note (bass or treble) with this one
as a _temporary_ solution, and rebuild the primaries when you can.

If that doesn't solve your problem, I would suspect the tubing from
the tracker bar to the primary valves.
