I recently purchased a recut of "The Old Castle" from Mussorgsky's
"Pictures" from Rob DeLand's BluesTone label.  This is a wonderful
roll played by Prokofieff.  I understand that a second roll containing
"Bydlo" and "Ballet of Chicks In Their Shells" was also released by
Aeolian.  Rob says he'd love to recut that roll.  I'm asking any
MMD subscriber who'd be interested in loaning their copy to Rob for
recutting to contact him.

If you don't have "Pictures" in your collection, I'd highly recommend
it.

It's a shame that the entire cycle of pieces was never made available.
Anyone who has heard Ravel's orchestration of "Pictures" will be
delighted by Mussorgsky's original piano work.  To me, It's much more
interesting.
