I received the following letter from Brendan G. Carroll, the president
of the International Korngold Society and also Erich Korngold's
biographer. He states that in his book, 'The Last Prodigy' (pub.
Amadeus Press 1997), there is a complete list of all known piano rolls
of Korngold's music (for numerous companies) on pages 435-436. He gave
me a list of the known Hupfeld rolls and then stated:
"I am trying to locate copies of rolls made by Korngold in 1910
for the Philipps company (also on Duca, Ducartist and Philag Ducanola)
of his complete Maerchenbilder Op. 3. If you know of their whereabouts,
I should be grateful to know."
If any MMD members has any information, could they please contact
Mr. Carroll directly at <BrendanGCarroll@aol.com.geentroep>
