Seek Fusee or Weight Powered Mechanical Organ
By Frank Metzger

Dear MMDers, I have been looking, to no avail, for an antique
mechanical organ to restore for my collection. It should be either
weight or fusee driven, and of a quality similar to those made
in Vienna, Germany (Berlin), France or England during the period
1790-1850.

Condition is important only insofar as the barrels and pipes are
concerned, and unrestored is fine. It can be in the form of a
'Floetenuhr' or an organ clock or an organ in a piece of furniture
such as a secretaire. It must be less than 8 feet tall.

If you have such for sale please contact me; if you know of one for
sale I will pay a very substantial 'finders fee' for a successful
purchase.

Thanks for keeping it in mind!
