Player Piano Systems to Play MIDI Files
By Tom Hutchinson

Can anyone refer me to a fairly comprehensive current article on
the attributes of the different MIDI systems? For example, what
systems can be installed in existing Ampico pianos, if any? What
system, if installed by itself in a [ordinary?] piano, will produce
the full range of expression of a reproducing piano?

In my reading I have run into several different names -- Disklavier,
Pianomation, and others -- but is there an article or site that
brings it all together? Since I'm new to this field any information
would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tom Hutchinson
