FS: Tangley CA-43 Calliope in Reno, Nevada
By Frank Leto

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

For sale: my 1929 Tangley Calliope model CA-43 43-note original
calliope. Play by hand or automatically with rolls (included). Very
good condition, Bob Stanoszek restored it in 1985. It is serial #904
and it has original brass pipes and a new player mechanism.

The electric-powered blower is included; it was also restored in 1985.
The calliope plays on either regular AC power or by generator. I used
a Honda generator when I put it on the back of a pick-up or hay wagon
for parades. It's a complete unit and ready to go. 20 style 'A' rolls
come with it. Perfect for parade rental with your antique truck or can
be trailer mounted.

This is a loud instrument as I used it for parades and outdoor events.
The pressure on the gage reads almost 2 when fired up. You can hear
the thing a mile away!

Appraised at $12,000 in 1985, price is negotiable; would like to get
$11,000 for the whole package. Buyer pays freight. Will pay finder's
fee of $500 to the person who helps me find a buyer. Located in Reno,
Nevada.
