Brass Polish
By Dean T. Smith

Hi, MMDers, I just want to share with you a product I was introduced
to a few days ago. As some may know, I have a Tangley Calliaphone with
43 brass whistles. It is now 17 years old and in need of sprucing up.
I had tried all sorts of cleaners/polishes, with generally not very
good results, only to have them tarnish shortly after spending hours
polishing.

Enter Nevr-Dull. It comes in a can and is cotton wadding impregnated
with a great cleaner/polish that leaves no, repeat, _no_ mess. I got
mine at a general hardware store for $3.99 per can. One can seems to
go a long, long way.

Eric, at Peachtree Polisher in Atlanta, GA, told me about it. He buys
it by the case. He was reluctant to take on the task of polishing the
pipes as the way he uses it creates heat and was afraid that the heat
would upset the tuning plug seal. After I get them done, he will apply
an industrial clear coat for me as long as I protect the important
openings.

By the way, I have a web site under development that will show myself
and calliope and tell the story of my first experience on a riverboat,
getting my calliope and my kidney transplant.

I hope you will visit it when it is completed and comment. The web
address is windsongs.net.
